Please take a moment to become familiar with the scholarship application. Your knowledge of these scholarships will help in spreading the word that they are available and I hope you might act as a contact person and resource for students wishing to apply.

Please post a copy of the applications on your bulletin board and provide copies to prospective applicants.

This information, including applications, has been sent to every high school in Maine, every University of Maine System campus and every Recreation Department. I would appreciate it if you would take a minute to call your local high school Guidance Director to confirm they received the information and act as a local resource to be sure they understand this scholarship is for RECREATION, PARKS OR LEISURE SERVICES majors, not physical education or other fields.

You may have people who might have worked for you in the past or currently that may be interested in the profession and qualify for the scholarship. Please send them an application and a personal note encouraging them to apply.
